Frankie Fire 🔥

YO! Welcome! My name is Francisco Iturbe Jr. I mostly go by Frankie.

I stepped on my first flight at the age of 19. 17 hours from Los Angeles to Shanghai. And as Drake would say, NWTS (nothing was the same)… An epic summer living and working in Shanghai showed me the power of exposure to new people, places, & things.

After studying Civil Engineering at the University of Southern California because I was good at math growing up, and after starting a career in management consulting because it pays well, I started asking: "Is this it?" (Yes, I know, vintage millennial question.)

This led to me founding a K-12 Education service business, WeElevate, a company committed to bringing out the best in students with a basketball and post-its.

Career Engineering

On my journey to WeElevate I’ve:

  • Founded a nonprofit

  • Freelanced and fundraised thousands of dollars for nonprofit organizations

  • Finessed multiple flexible work arrangements that include: relocating from LA to NYC (and back), taking a sabbatical and working part-time

I've learned that building a purposeful career isn't easy. It's messy. It requires what I call Career Engineering. Career Engineering is process of skillfully and artfully arranging roles and projects to create freedom and fulfillment. This engineering requires no math, but it does require FIRE. ➡️

What is Frankie Fire? 🔥

  1. My ENERGY -  you can count on me to BRING IT BABY!

  2. My learnings - packaged up into an article, IG story, newsletter, or a tweet

I want to share this fire with YOU!

I’ll be honest though—I’m still figuring it all out. I'm a work in progress. My career isn't perfect by any means. And that's okay. I got plenty to share for now!

Freedom & Fulfillment

I write about education, productivity and careers as means to a life of freedom and fulfillment.
